Kyle key component to national soccer team - The Star Phoenix

Former University of Saskatchewan Huskies' soccer player Kaylyn Kyle helped Canada establish a 2-0 record at the FIFA Under-20 women's World Cup Qualifier being played in Puebla, Mexico.

Kyle was a starter in both Canada's 2-0 victory over Nicaragua and 3-1 victory over Jamaica.

The Bishop Mahoney graduate is also currently a member of the Vancouver Whitecaps in the United Soccer League.

During Kyle's one season with the Huskies in 2006-07, she lead the team in scoring with three goals and three assists.

The World Cup will be held in Chile from Nov. 19 to Dec. 7.
