The Vancouver Whitecaps women managed a 2-2 tie Monday against the Sounders in Seattle despite a spate of illnesses that left Vancouver short of healthy players. Three of the six Caps returning from a win at the CONCACAF U-20 championships in Mexico were too sick to play, and coach Bob Birarda became too ill to even make the trip, leaving Marc Rizzardo to hold the reins.
