Super Y-League affiliate weekend report

It was a busy weekend for the Whitecaps BCSA Super Y -League affiliates, with all teams in action and a featured Super Y-League night at Swangard Stadium.

Teams from Mountain WFC, along with Coastal and Surrey WFC were recognized at a pre-game ceremony prior to the Whitecaps men's 1-0 win over Carolina RailHawks last Saturday at Swangard.

All teams were also in action over the weekend, with Surrey WFC hosting Coastal on Saturday and Yakima on Sunday. Mountain took on Evergreen on Saturday and West Coast Capitals on Sunday. Mountain U-15 and U-16 Boys teams were also in action on Sunday against Yakima.

Surrey WFC
In Saturday play, Surrey took on rival Coastal WFC with the U-13 Boys and U-14 Girls, dropping their matches 5-0 and 6-1 respectively, while the U-14 Boys edged their counterparts 1-0. On Sunday, the Surrey U-13 Girls fell 2-0 before dropping another 2-0 result to Coastal WFC on Monday.
Coastal WFC
Coastal WFC swept two of their three-game set on Saturday, with the U-13 Boys winning 5-0 and U-14 Girls winning 6-1 over Surrey WFC. The U-14 Boys dropped a 1-0 result to their Surrey rivals. On Sunday, the U-15 Boys played to a scoreless draw with Washington Crossfire. On Monday, Coastal picked up a 2-0 win over Surrey. This week, Coastal will be hosting Evergreen Soccer Club in a four-game set on Wednesday at Simon Fraser University.
Mountain WFC
On Saturday, Mountain WFC rolled to three wins in four games over Evergreen. The U-13 Boys won 3-1, while the U-14 Boys prevailed 7-0. The U-14 Girls came out on top 2-0, while the U-13 Girls suffered the club's only loss 2-0.

On Sunday, Mountain played a five-game series with West Coast Capitals. Results included the U-13 Boys winning 1-0, the U-14 Girls winning 2-0 and the U-16 Girls taking a 3-0 result. The U-14 Boys dropped a 1-0 decision, while the U-15 Girls drew 1-1. Mountain's U-15 and U-16 Boys, meanwhile, also traveled to Yakima in Washington State and picked up 6-0 and 4-1 wins respectively.
