  • THE BUZZ

The Vancouver Whitecaps' are hoping their regular season home schedule ends tomorrow night just like it began on April 12: With a Saturday night win over the Montreal Impact at Swangard Stadium (7 p.m., USLlive.com).

  • LONG TIME COMING

The 13-7-8 Whitecaps' 1-0 win over the 12-10-5 Impact was the first time the Whitecaps beat Montreal at home since Aug. 21, 1996. A win and the Whitecaps can finish no worse than second in the USL first division. They would also keep pace in pursuit of the first-place Puerto Rico Islanders.

  • EX-CAPS

Montreal features ex-Vancouver stars Joey Gjertsen, David Testo, Tony Donatelli and Sita-Taty Matondo. Donatelli has four goals and an assist since the trade for Charles Gbeke, who has two goals and two assists for the Caps.

  • SIDELINED

Whitecaps' midfielder Takashi Hirano and defenders Wesley Charles and Geordie Lyall are questionable, while defender Mason "Young" Trafford is probable. Defender Omar Jarun will miss the last two regular season games after being red carded on Sunday.
