Whitecaps get good news on injuries - 24 Hours

Not so bad after all.

The Vancouver Whitecaps' "two Wesleys" are doing better than head coach Teitur Thordarson anticipated.

Defensive general Wes Charles left the Sunday night 2-1 loss to the Montreal Impact late in the game after being kicked in the hip. He is listed as questionable for Friday night's match against the visiting Miami FC Blues. Rookie Wes Knight returned to training Tuesday despite ankle trouble that forced his departure on Sunday.

Jeff Parke, meanwhile, is out of action at least two weeks because of turf toe aggravated against the Impact.

Parke joins midfielder Justin Moose (foot) and defender Geordie Lyall (hamstring) in the sick bay. Striker Marlon James, however, will be available for selection on Friday after recovering from a hamstring injury suffered May 10.
