VANCOUVER, B.C. — Charles Gbeke scored twice as the Vancouver Whitecaps ended a three-game skid with a 3-2 win over the Miami FC Blues in USL First Division action Friday.

Zourab Tsiskaridze opened the scoring for Miami at 10:00, heading in Walter Ramirez's well-hit corner past Vancouver goalkeeper Jay Nolly to give the Blues (2-5-1) an early lead. The strike was also Miami's first league goal in five matches.

But Gbeke replied for the Whitecaps (4-4-2) just six minutes later, heading in Knight's long throw-in from the right past Miami goalkeeper Kenny Schoeni to make it 1-1.

Gbeke scored again at 34 minutes on a controversial goal. As Schoeni went to claim possession of the ball, Gbeke challenged the keeper and Schoeni inadvertently put the ball in his own net. Despite protests from Miami, Gbeke was awarded the goal.

Marco Reda secured the win at 76 minutes by knocking in a goal off his thigh from a corner.

Richard Perdomo scored just two minutes later for Miami but the Blues couldn't find the equalizer.
