Late goal extends Caps' winless streak - Vancouver Sun

A late Carolina RailHawks goal dropped the Vancouver Whitecaps to a 1-1 away draw on Tuesday.

Substitute Marcus Haber gave Vancouver the lead midway through the second half at WakeMed Soccer Park, but the visitors were denied the victory after Carolina substitute Andriy Budnyy equalized in the 87th minute to earn the Hawks back-to-back stalemates with Vancouver.

Tuesday's draw leaves the Whitecaps in sole possession of seventh place in the United Soccer Leagues First Division standings, with Vancouver's winless run now extended to five matches.

Haber came in to the match for striker Marlon James who suffered a groin injury in the first half.
