Vancouver Whitecaps FC continue their preparations towards the 2010 USSF D-2 Pro League season with an inter-squad match on Saturday afternoon.
Head coach
Teitur Thordarson
and his assistant
Colin Miller
will put together two teams from members of the Whitecaps men's team and the club's Residency program for the weekend training match.
Please note that the inter-squad game will now be played on Field #5 at the Burnaby Lake Sports Complex in Burnaby, BC.
With a month remaining before the Blue and White begin their 2010 campaign, Thordarson's side are aiming to fine tune their plans with a series of friendly matches in the coming weeks. The 'Caps pre-season buildup has already included four matches against top opposition from Major League Soccer. The latest contest came last Saturday, as Vancouver earned a goalless draw with Interstate 5 rivals Seattle Sounders FC at Swangard Stadium.
Kickoff for this Saturday's inter-squad match is set for 12 p.m. PT at Burnaby Lake West Field #5, and is free of charge to the public.
