2010 MLS SuperDraft

Vancouver Whitecaps FC are less than two days away from taking part in their first-ever MLS SuperDraft.

The Blue and White have been busy looking at potential draft selections at the MLS Player Combine over the past few days, as well as scouting draft-eligible talent during the past few months. Whitecaps FC have the first and eighth overall picks in the 2011 SuperDraft, as well as the first pick in both second round (19th overall) and third round (37th overall).

As excitement builds towards Thursday's SuperDraft in Baltimore, Maryland, 'Caps fans can look back at last year's events in this three-part video series that follows the draft fortunes of D.C. United, New York Red Bulls, and 2010 expansion club Philadelphia Union.

The series follows all three MLS Eastern Conference clubs, as they worked through the league's combine and draft process ahead of the 2010 season. The series gives insight into the evaluation and decision-making that MLS clubs go through before selecting players in the SuperDraft. The series also takes in the energy and excitement of draft day, as well as the strategy that teams like the Union and Red Bulls use during the draft.
