On Tuesday, Vancouver Whitecaps FC had their final workout at Empire Field before departing Wednesday for a second preseason trip to Arizona. They will play four training matches and hope to arrange a fifth training match on Sunday, February 27. With just over 30 days to kickoff, the players were put through a very intense session in East Vancouver on Tuesday.
Head coach Teitur Thordarson will welcome the experience of Jay Demerit, John Thorrington, and Joe Cannon back into the fold. The trio had limited playing time in the three previous preseason matches, as they were recovering from recent injury concerns.
