Vancouver Whitecaps FC are mourning the loss of former player Winston Griffiths, who passed away last Sunday, October 23, at the University Hospital of the West Indies in Jamaica. He was 33.
Griffiths played for Whitecaps FC in 2004, starting 11 of his 26 appearances for 1,161 total minutes played, while scoring two goals and registering five assists.
A graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Griffiths also played for Major League Soccer clubs New York/New Jersey MetroStars (now New York Red Bulls), LA Galaxy, and New England Revolution.
