Volunteer and Atiba

Have you been to a Whitecaps FC match? Do you want to be a part of the action? Now is your chance! If you have a passion for sports, soccer, or events, then our volunteer positions are perfect for you!

The deadline to apply for volunteer positions is this coming Sunday, January 29.

Who are we looking for?

Anyone and everyone! Please send in your resume to our events team to the position you think you’re best suited for. This is a tremendously beneficial opportunity for you to help kick start or grow your career. We’d love to hear from you.

What’s in it for you?

We encourage anyone to apply who is interested in networking within the sports industry and gaining first-hand experience to pursue a career in sports, human kinetics, youth programming, not-for-profit, broadcasting, marketing, media, communications and much more. We have a number of positions to fill before first kick on March 10, so be sure to take a look at the full list of openings to see what the best fit is for you.

Over the years, there have been a number of volunteers with Whitecaps FC that have used their opportunity to grow professionally. Brandon Timko, our current communications coordinator, for example volunteered with the team for three years. That led to an eight month internship within the communications department. He now works full-time for the club, and this was all made possible with the contacts he gained through volunteering with the team. “The volunteer experience I gained with Whitecaps FC was invaluable for me. I truly love the sport of soccer, and now to be working with Whitecaps FC is a dream come true,” stated Timko.
