WHITECAPS FC IN THE NEWS

It’s not often you hear people requesting a second helping of haggis, but that’s exactly what Vancouver Whitecaps FC president Bob Lenarduzzi asked Breakfast Television’s Greg Harper for when they both shared in the festive Scottish feast at the Vancouver campus of Simon Fraser University (SFU) in honour of Robbie Burns Day. Don’t believe it? Watch the video HERE (jump to the 7:47 mark)! (Greg Harper – Breakfast Television). Even though Lenarduzzi is of Italian descent, his ‘heart was in the highlands’, as he participated in a record-setting, four hour Robbie Burns Day poetry-reading marathon. In preseason camp, there's definitely a different look about this year's ‘Caps squad.
