'Caps first training session at Disney

KISSIMMEE, FL -
Whitecaps FC kicked off the fifth week of their seven-week Major League Soccer preseason today on the Hess Sports Fields at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. During the club's two-week stay in the Sunshine State, head coach
Martin Rennie
's side will focus on tactics and team chemistry, as they build towards First Kick 2012 against Canadian rivals and MLS expansion club Montreal Impact at BC Place on Saturday, March 10.




Today's session saw the team split into four groups: goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and strikers. The keepers initially worked together with goalkeeper coach
Marius Rovde
, then joined in with the other three groups. Assistant coaches
Jake DeClute
and
Carl Robinson
worked with the defenders and midfielders respectively, while Rennie and assistant
Paul Ritchie
spent the majority of their time with the strikers.
