Assistant coach Carl Robinson has been a key addition to Martin Rennie’s staff. With the focus being on improved team defence, Robinson's previous MLS experience has been invaluable to Whitecaps FC. Jay DeMerit has been key to helping Whitecaps FC start the season off on the right foot with two clean sheet and will be key in stopping the potent D.C. United attack on Saturday.
