The ‘Caps have a bye this week, as they prepare for Eastern Conference-leading Sporting Kansas City next Wednesday night on Bell Pitch at BC Place. Head coachMartin Rennieis looking to work on defensive structure and creating more offensive chances this week at training. It’s a learning process for the ‘Caps and their new head coach Martin Rennie, as they try and navigate a very difficult Western Conference. Who is the global goalie? Lutz Pfannenstiel was a goalkeeper for the ‘Caps in the 2007 season. Pfannenstiel has now been dubbed the 'global goalie', as he’s the only professional soccer player to play in all six of FIFA’s global soccer confederations.
