VANCOUVER, BC - British alternative rock band Coldplay was in town last weekend but before they played to two sold-out crowds at Rogers Arena, lead guitarist Jonny Buckland, drummer Will Champion, and a number of the travelling crew members took to the pitch at BC Place for a 8 v 8 game on Thursday afternoon. Prior to the match, Buckland and Champion were presented with customized Whitecaps FC jerseys from captain Jay DeMerit.
