VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC are pleased to announce the youth host clubs for each match of this year’s Whitecaps Women’s Soccer Series presented by Kia. “The Whitecaps Women’s Soccer Series has been a great way to bring elite level soccer to communities throughout the Lower Mainland, and it would not be possible without the support of these host clubs,” said Dan Lenarduzzi, Whitecaps FC director of soccer development. “We look forward to another exciting season and we thank each of the clubs for their fantastic support.”

The ‘Caps women open their 2012 W-League season on Friday, May 18, at McLeod Athletic Park in Langley. This first match will be hosted by Langley United Youth Soccer Association. The Blue and White then return home for a match on Sunday, May 27, at Percy Perry Stadium in Coquitlam, hosted by Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club. The next month begins with Whitecaps FC playing in Chilliwack, as Chilliwack FC host the Friday, June 1, match at Exhibition Stadium. The ‘Caps then return to Coquitlam on Wednesday, June 13, for a home match again hosted by Coquitlam Metro-Ford. Friday, June 22, sees the team in Surrey, as United Summer Soccer League plays host at Newton Athletic Park. On Sunday, June 24, the ‘Caps play in North Vancouver at Kinsmen Park, hosted by North Shore Girls Soccer Club, and on Sunday, July 8, the season wraps up at Richmond’s Minoru Park, hosted by Richmond Girls Soccer Association.
