This Sunday afternoon, Vancouver Whitecaps FC are back to Major League Soccer (MLS) action, as they will battle MLS Cup finalists Houston Dynamo. This highly-anticipated match between Whitecaps FC and the Dynamo will mark the Texas-based squad's one and only trip to Canada's west coast in the 2012 regular season. The match will kick off at 4 p.m. PT on Bell Pitch at BC Place and will mark the first Sunday home match of the season.

Dominic Kinnear’s squad boasts some of the most impressive attacking talent in MLS. Strikers Will Bruin and Brian Ching constantly lead the Dynamo offensively with goals, assists, and shots on goal. MLS All-Star midfielder Brad Davis provides the perfect two-way midfielder influence for the Dynamo. Not only does most of the Houston offence flow through Davis, he’s also one of the most reliable midfielders in the league. If you can manage to get the ball away from the Dynamo, you then have to find a way past their All-Star goalkeeper Tally Hall, which is no easy feat.

With MLS on a break from league play for 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying and Lamar Hunt US Open Cup play, Whitecaps FC versus the Dynamo will be the one and only MLS match this weekend. The ‘Caps will look to continue their run of strong play into the month of June, while the Dynamo will be looking to gain a valuable away result after earning five points in their brand new BBVA Compass Stadium home.

With the game starting at 4 p.m. PT on Sunday, there will be a bevy of activities for ‘Caps fans to take part in. ‘Caps Kickoff will be taking place on Terry Fox Plaza outside BC Place, starting at 2 p.m. PT. At ‘Caps Kickoff, fans will be able to participate in a variety of activities brought to you by Whitecaps FC partners. The Bell Box will be on location, where fans will be able to get player autographs and play EA Sports FIFA 12, while at the BMO Power of Blue booth, fans will be able to test the power of their kick and show their BMO card to gain easy access to BC Place.

Single match tickets are available now and prices start as low as $28 (taxes included). Make sure you don’t miss this important match, as the Blue and White test their mettle against the elite of the MLS Eastern Conference. The ‘Caps will then return to BC Place for a match against Western Conference foes Colorado Rapids on Saturday, June 16, at 4 p.m. PT.
