Farenhorst and Fisk earn PDL end-of-season accolades

VANCOUVER, BC - The United Soccer Leagues announced today that Vancouver Whitecaps FC U-23 defender James Farenhorst and Whitecaps FC Residency midfielder/striker Ben Fisk have been named to the Premier Development League (PDL) All-Western Conference Team.


 Fisk, 19, scored four goals and added one assist during his second PDL season with Whitecaps FC. This resulted in nine points from 11 league appearances with the U-23 ‘Caps in 2012.


A Canadian youth international, the Vancouver, BC, native (pictured) has already made appearances in the MLS Reserve League for the Blue and White. Earlier this month, Fisk led the club’s U-18 Residency squad to the United States Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) U-17/18 championship final, where they fell to their counterparts from FC Dallas Academy in Houston, Texas.


Farenhorst, 21, appeared in all 16 PDL matches for Whitecaps FC U-23 this season for 1,428 minutes of action. The Trinity Western University product also contributed with three goals and one assist for seven points during the campaign.
