South of the border, fellow ‘Caps alum Ben McKendry recorded the game-winning helper in University of New Mexico’s 2-1 overtime result against UC Irvine. The freshman’s corner was headed home to seal the win.

In cheesehead country, Declan Rodriguez was named to the 2012 Lakeside Classic All-Tournament Team after a pair of strong individual performances.

Missouri sophomore Abigail Raymer was another ex-Whitecaps FC player to provide a late game-winning assist on the weekend, which handed Mizzou a 1-0 win over South Carolina.

In CIS action, freshman goalkeeper Kayla Klim was between the posts in the second half of Fraser Valley Cascades’ 7-0 defeat of UNBC Timerwolves.

On the island, the University of Victoria Vikes racked up their own emphatic 10-0 win over the Timberwolves. ‘Caps alum Jaclyn Sawicki set up one of the goals when she found midfielder Lindsay Hoetzel.

Back south of the border, sophomore goalkeeper Gurveen Clair played 45 minutes and was credited with the win in Washington State’s 2-0 triumph over Hawaii.

The Cougars picked up another three points a few days later when they beat Idaho 5-1. 2012 Whitecaps FC women’s striker Brandi Vega got on the scoresheet for her fourth goal of the season.

Finally, after returning from the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, striker Jenna Richardson spoke with Oregon State about her experience on the world stage.
