#OffThePitch: Watson on ice

When the weather outside is frightful, why not turn to an indoor sport. Though it is equally as cold in this arena, the sport of curling can be played year round.

In today’s edition of #OffThePitch 'Caps midfielder Matt Watson joined some of Vancouver’s own Southsiders for a curling lesson at the Vancouver Curling Club. After a coordinated warm up session and step by step demonstration, the participants tried it out for themselves.

Sporting a toque, Watson managed to stay on his feet and even hit a few rocks. At the end of the day it was clear that curling is a little harder than it looks. Check out the video below to see just how well he did.
