So you claim to be the best of your friends at EA SPORTS FIFA 13? You've unlocked all of the celebration moves and have already taken the 'Caps to an MLS Cup victory in career mode.
Well that's great and all, but now it's time to finally test your mettle against some real competition. The best part of all is that should you prove to be as good as you think you are, you'll not only boost your swagger but you'll earn the opportunity to sit closer to the action on the pitch than any other Vancouver Whitecaps FC supporter as you watch a match just feet away from the sideline on the EA SPORTS FIFA 13 Fan Bench!
Here's the deal though, while you've been busy buying up presents at the mall all month Danny Appleby, Renzo Barraza and Justin Santos have already snatched up three of the final four spots! That means there's only one qualification round left, so you only get one shot at glory. The first three qualifiers were extremely heated affairs, so you best do some prepping over the holidays if you really want to stand a chance. Luckily you've got until 1 p.m. on January 5th at the Whitecaps Metrotown store to get that practice time in (especially you Residency players out there like Dario Zanatta and Francesco Saporito who failed to qualify during our last round).
The rules of the tournament are simple: both teams play Whitecaps FC versus Whitecaps FC. So in between turkey leftovers and Boxing Day sales, you'd be smart to log some time tweaking your best formation, and selecting your line-ups to best suit your style of play. Over the course of the tournament we've seen a variety of combinations and we can tell you that nobody who has stuck with the "default" settings has yet to go through to the final. So be creative, be diligent in practicing and most importantly, be at our Metrotown store on January 5th the kick off of our final qualifier! See you there.
Please note - Participants must arrive at the store prior to the competition on the dates listed, between store opening and 12:45 p.m, and register their name for the draw. Four players from the list of registrants will then be randomly drawn to play at 1 p.m. when the games commence. The store opens at 11 a.m. on the first competition day, Sunday, December 2.
