‘Caps to support Daffodil Month

Today, April 1, marks the first day of the Canadian Cancer Society’s Daffodil Month. For the entire month of April Canadians will be purchasing and wearing the yellow daffodil pin in support of all those living with cancer.

In support of Daffodil Month Whitecaps FC will be promoting awareness at both upcoming home matches on April 13 and April 27.

In 2012 approximately 186,400 Canadians were diagnosed with cancer. An estimated 23,300 of these cases were from British Columbia alone.

How can you help the ‘Caps support the fight against cancer?

  • Arrive early to the April 13 and 27 home matches and visit the Canadian Cancer Society at ‘Caps Kickoff  on Terry Fox Plaza
  • Make a donation and get your yellow daffodil pin from any Canadian Cancer Society volunteer on match day
  • Visit Whitecaps FC club ambassador Carl Valentine, club president Bob Lenarduzzi, mascot Spike, and ‘Caps players outside the Bell store on the corner of Georgia and Burrard on April 26 from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. PT as they help raise funds and awareness for the Canadian Cancer Society
