I had the pleasure of attending the Canadian Paralympics Soccer two day minicamp at Simon Fraser University. I joined in with around a dozen players who were trying to impress Head Coach Drew Ferguson who will be taking his squad of 14 players to play in a tournament in Barcelona.

It was inspirational being around these athletes as they played the game with such passion and it was amazing to think that a number of these players are carded by the Canadian Soccer Association. This enables them to travel around the world competing in qualifying games and world cup games for their country.

In a recent tournament In England there was an average crowd of over 20 thousand fans watching the Paralympic Soccer teams, and popularity continues to grow.
