Vancouver Whitecaps FC visit Camp Goodtimes for second straight year

Camp Goodtimes 2013

VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC made a special visit to Camp Goodtimes on August 15 to help create a summer camp experience for children with cancer and their families.

This was the club’s second visit to the camp, which is put on annually by the Canadian Cancer Society. This year, club ambassador Carl Valentine, defenders Greg Klazura and Jordan Harvey, midfielders Kekuta Manneh, Russell Teibert and Matt Watson, striker Tommy Heinemann and goalkeeper Brad Knighton made the trip over to spend the afternoon interacting with the group of teens at Loon Lake.

Camp Goodtimes is a safe and medically supervised facility where kids and teens can enjoy recreational activities, such as arts and crafts or swimming. On their visit, the ‘Caps also participated in a friendly soccer match and skits.
