Goals, goals, and more goals. The 2013 Whitecaps FC season has seen more than its fair share of goals this year, in fact we’ve set a new club record with 48 and counting.
After much debate, we have narrowed it down to the top eight – with the flexibility to adjust if someone decides to score another golazo – and now we need your help. Over the next seven weeks, fans will have the opportunity to vote online at whitecapsfc.com/goaloftheyear to determine the 2013 Whitecaps FC Goal of the Year presented by Budweiser.
Two goals will go head-to-head every week, starting today. The goal with the most votes each week will be announced every Friday afternoon and advance to the semifinals and eventually the finals. Going forward, match-ups will begin every Monday. Voting will be open weekly from Monday until Friday at 12 p.m. PT.
The final winner of Whitecaps FC Goal of the Year presented by Budweiser, will be announced on Monday, December 2 and will be crowned as the 2013 King of Goals. Supporters are encouraged to share and vote for each round of the contest as Budweiser Prize Packs will be presented to one lucky fan for each round.
