Whitecaps FC carve pumpkins with ten families from Camp Goodtimes

Pumpkin Carving

On Saturday, October 26, 10 families from Camp Goodtimes were invited to the Canadian Cancer Society office to carve pumpkins with Vancouver Whitecaps FC. ‘Caps representatives included goalkeeper Joe Cannon, defenders Greg Klazura and Jordan Harvey, and club ambassador Carl Valentine.

The ‘Caps had a fun afternoon filled with smiles and intricate pumpkin designs. Camp Goodtimes families were even surprised with an acoustic performance from recording artist Kimberly Caldwell and multi-talented ‘Caps defender Jordan Harvey on guitar. Take a look here at Kimberly Caldwell’s guest blog about this past weekend’s event on Canadian Cancer Society’s Our Fight For Life blog.

Camp Goodtimes is the Canadian Cancer Society’s paediatric oncology camp for children and their families who have had or are going through cancer treatment. It is a safety-focused, medically supervised, fun and recreational experience for the kids.

Whitecaps FC would like to thank all the families and staff at the Canadian Cancer Society for allowing us to be part of this special day and wishing all our 'Caps fans a safe and fun Halloween!
