VOTE: Camilo cracks the final eight in Major League Soccer Latino Del Año competition

NEW YORK – And here they are. These are the top eight Latin American players in Major League Soccer, according to you!

After four days of intense voting, the fans chose the eight players who advanced to the quarterfinal round of FutbolMLS.com's Latino del Año. Vancouver Whitecaps FC's Camilo Sanvezzo, the league's Golden Boot winner and the club's BMO Player of the Year, is one of the eight players remaining. The Brazilian edged Columbus Crew's Federico Higuaín in the Round of 16 with 50.03 per cent of the votes. 

In the quarterfinals, Camilo is up against the reigning "Latino del Año," Houston Dynamo's Boniek Garcia. Quarterfinal voting starts today and will close this Wednesday, November 13, at 8:59 pm PT. The player who receives the most votes in each pairing will advance to the grand final, which is composed of four players this year. Vote for Camilo below!
