Bayern Munich claim 2013 FIFA Club World Cup

Bayern FIFA Club World Cup

FC Bayern Munich became the first German club to win the FIFA Club World Cup after defeating Raja Casablanca 2-0 in the final at Marrakech Stadium, wrapping up a memorable year for the European champions.
HIGHLIGHTS: BAYERN MUNICH 2-0 RAJA CASABLANCA
In the first meeting between the sides, Bayern asserted themselves from the start.
In the 4th minute Bayern and Germany international Toni Kroos tested Raja goalkeeper Khalid Askri with a distance shot. Askri was able to make a comfortable save.
One minute later Raja answered Bayern's early surge when the in-form Moussine Iajour shot wide inside the Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer's penalty box.
In the 7th minute Bayern defender Jerome Boateng headed a corner kick from Xherdan Shaqiri into the path of fellow defender Dante who shot past Askri from about six yards to give the European champions the 1-0 lead.
Bayern used the momentum from Dante's goal to create more chances. In the tenth minute, Shaqiri set up captain Philipp Lahm on the right wing to then find Thomas Muller who shot straight into Askri's arms.
Left-back David Alaba almost gave Bayern a two-goal advantage in the 19th minute after Muller's back heel pass played the Swiss international through, but his shot was saved by Askri.
Iajour was able to test Neuer one minute later, but his shot was saved with ease.
Bayern continued to control the flow of the match and in the 22nd minute went two goals ahead after Alaba cut inside from the left wing to find Spain international Thiago at the top of the 18-yard box who struck a 14-yard shot into Askri's far corner.
Shaqiri had a shot saved by Askri in the 35th minute following a Dante headed chance from a Franck Ribery corner that sailed over the crossbar.
Raja were almost let back in the match in the 38th minute when Neuer played a careless pass into the feet of Chemseddine Chtibi who missed the empty goal from distance.
The last chance of the first half came after Lahm found Thiago, who shot his distance shot wide of Aksri's goal.
Bayern began the second half conservatively in comparison to their first-half offensive dominance.
In the 57th minute Raja threatened to make their way back in the match when Zakaria El Hachimi crossed from the right wing to find Iajour whose headed effort went straight into Neuer's arms.
Bayern responded with a chance of their own four minutes later when Lahm passed to Shaqiri in front of goal. The Swiss winger hit the crossbar followed by a missed rebound chance by Thiago.
Two minutes later, captain Mohsine Moutouali attempted a shot 17 metres out, but he could not keep it down as it sailed over Neuer's crossbar.
Raja nearly made it 2-1 in the 84th minute after Vivien Madibe received a ball inside the box with only Neuer to beat, but he shot straight at the Germany international. The ball then fell at the feet of Moutouali who missed the empty net from seven metres.
In the 90th minute Madibe flicked a ball into the path of Badr Kachani who found his way inside Bayern's penalty box, but Neuer was able to save.
After three minutes of added time, Bayern had done enough to be crowned Club World Cup champions, bringing Europe back to supremacy in the tournament and capping off an unforgettable year in the club's history.
