The ‘Caps next home match on Wednesday, June 25 against Montreal Impact will be Italian Heritage Night at BC Place.
If you purchase tickets for a group of 20 or more, you can take part in an exclusive meet and greet with a pair of ‘Caps Canadian-Italians, president Bob Lenarduzzi and goalkeeper Marco Carducci. Whitecaps FC also feature Italian goalkeeper Paolo Tornaghi, a product of Inter Milan.

On June 24, Italian fans will cheer on the Azzurri against Uruguay in their final group stage match at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. But against Montreal, a pair of former Italian national team players will be the nemesis. Impact defender Matteo Ferrari and striker Marco Di Vaio spent the majority of their careers at Serie A clubs such as Bologna, Genoa, Inter Milan, Juventus, Lazio, Parma, and Roma. The Impact also feature former Inter Milan defender Nelson Rivas.
Fans will be treated to an intense match between these longtime Canadian rivals. Vancouver are undefeated against Montreal Impact since the Quebec club joined MLS in 2012, holding a 2W-0L-2D record. Included in those matches is a 2-0 win at BC Place to open the 2012 season, and a 3-0 win in Montreal last year. Despite the undefeated record, the 'Caps fell on away goals in heartbreaking fashion to the Impact in the 2013 Amway Canadian Championship, playing to a 0-0 draw in Montreal and a 2-2 draw at BC Place.
