Vancouver Whitecaps FC join Michael Cuccione Foundation Kick for a Cure

Spike at Kick for a Cure

On Saturday, July 12, the Michael Cuccione Foundation will be hosting their sixth annual Kick for a Cure event at Coquitlam Town Centre Park. Come join Whitecaps FC club president Bob Lenarduzzi, club ambassador Carl Valentine, mascot Spike, and some 'Caps players for a fun-filled day of soccer.

Kick For A Cure is a childhood cancer initiative founded to raise awareness about childhood cancer and the need for increased funding towards pediatric cancer research. The Michael Cuccione Foundation gives back and takes a stand for children who are fighting to stay alive. They “shall not rest until a cure is found,” and aim to demonstrate their support and passion to eradicating cancer. Soccer is about teamwork, spirit, strength and the fight to win; those touched by cancer share a similar journey and need the same strength and courage to win their individual fight. By joining together, the community can all work towards making a massive difference to those kids whose lives have been shaken forever.
