A new year often brings with it new opportunities. That’s especially true for Whitecaps FC Season Ticket Members, who this week are being given the chance to literally leave their imprint on the ‘Caps this season.
It’s all part of an exciting new initiative giving fans an opportunity to have a picture of themselves printed on the back of the new 2015 Whitecaps FC jersey. The project will enable Season Ticket Members to upload a selfie onto their favourite number, or the jersey number of their favourite player; even picking the location of their image within that number in much the same manner as you would select your seat on a flight.
These images will then be added together to create a collage of fan photos that will be featured on special jerseys worn by players for MLS matches during the month of August. Supporters will also have the opportunity to purchase one of these unique jerseys alongside other memorabilia featuring the fan photos beginning in April.
However with only 5,000 places up for grabs, we’ve decided to implement a lottery in order to give every fan an equal opportunity to get involved. Look for an email on Wednesday, January 7 for more information on how to place your entry.
