Canada suffer heartbreaking 3-2 loss to El Salvador in U-20 CONCACAF Championship Group B action

Canada’s U-20 men’s national team suffered a heartbreaking 3-2 loss to El Salvador Thursday in U-20 CONCACAF Championship Group B action.

The Red and White came back twice from one-goal deficits before surrendering a stoppage-time stunner in their third match of the group stage in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

FC Edmonton midfielder Hanson Boakai and Vancouver Whitecaps FC midfielder Kianz Froese provided the scoring for Canada.

- Marco Bustos: Started and played 81 minutes before getting subbed off.
- Kianz Froese: Subbed on in the 62nd minute before scoring his first-ever goal for Canada in the 79th minute, brining the score level at 2-2.

- Chris Serban**: Started and played the full 90 minutes at right back for the third straight match.
