Earnshaw on playing for WFC2: 'They left it up to me'

Four teenagers started for Whitecaps FC 2 in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Seattle Sounders FC 2 – as did six Canadians. Based on the team’s first month of the United Soccer League season, that didn’t come as much of a surprise.

The bigger surprise was the inclusion of 34-year-old striker Robert Earnshaw, who was loaned to WFC2 from the MLS side for Sunday's match. And just as he did with the first team, the former Welsh international found the back of the net on his debut.

So why did Earnshaw, a seasoned veteran with over 500 professional matches under his belt, suit up for WFC2? And what did he think of the experience? Watch the above video to find out!
