Campbell, Sagno each record brace as Whitecaps FC U-16 avenge last season's loss

|Chicago Magic PSG||1||0||1||1||1||6||-5|
Whitecaps FC U-16 won their second match in as many days, defeating Chicago Magic PSG U-16 5-0 behind braces by strikers Terran Campbell and Daniel Sagno.
The 'Caps played with clear intent out of the gates against the same Magic PSG squad that eliminated them in last year's USSDA quarterfinal.
Campbell started Vancouver on the right foot, recording two goals in the opening 16 minutes.
Centre back Frazer Poulter got into the act before halftime, scoring off a header to put the 'Caps up 3-0 at the break.
Sagno, who found the net twice in 45 minutes versus Concorde Fire U-16 on Tuesday, added two more to his tally in the second half.
The 'Caps firepower was just too much for Magic PSG in the afternoon as WFC U-16 have now scored 11 goals in two days.
"I thought we looked stronger than yesterday - more aggressive, had more desire and it was pleasing to get another impressive return in front of goal. We are also very happy about keeping the clean sheet," head coach Adam Day said. "We had a clear focus for the first two games and we have successfully achieved what we set out to do as a group. I am very proud of the boys."
Whitecaps FC U-16 wrap-up group play when they face Arsenal FC U-16 on Friday at 8:15 a.m. PT.
"We have a day of rest now to prepare for what will be our toughest test against Arsenal and we want to respond with an equally determined performance and finish the playoffs positively," Day added.

Haynes, Jones, Grayson lead Whitecaps FC U-18 to 2-1 win over Oakwood Soccer Club U-18
|Group A (U-18)|

Whitecaps FC U-18 notched their first win of the postseason, defeating Oakwood Soccer Club U-18 on Wednesday.
WFC2 fullback Jordan Haynes figured on both ends of the pitch with stout defence while also figuring in both of the 'Caps goals.
In the 39th minute, the Peterborough, Ontario native drove into the box and was dragged down by a Oakwood SC defender. Midfielder Kyle Jones converted on the ensuing penalty kick to put the 'Caps up 1-0.
Haynes continued his stellar performance with excellent wing play on the left side in the 61st minute, delivering a low hard feed across the face of goal, which striker William Grayson finished with confidence.
First-team goalkeeper Marco Carducci had a strong outing for the Blue and White, conceding a lone goal in the 81st minute that started with an unfortunate deflection bouncing straight to an attacking Oakwood SC player.
"We were rewarded for a strong effort and performance today," said U-18 head coach Rich Fagan. "The whole team stepped up. We'll rest and recover then prepare for the biggest game of the season on Friday against D.C. United."
Friday's match versus D.C. United U-18 rounds out group play for the 'Caps. Kickoff is set for 6 a.m. PT.
