San Jose’s Tommy Thompson opened the scoring for the MLS Homegrown side in the 34th minute, before Sergio Rodriguez drew the game level for Club America with a 68th-minute penalty.

The score remained 1-1 at the end of regulation and Club America emerged victorious in the ensuing penalty-kick shootout, defeating the MLS Homegrowns 5-4 in the second annual Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game.

Teibert, who played the third most minutes of anyone on Landon Donovan's MLS Homegrown side, impressed throughout his hour of action on the left wing – as you can see from the social media reaction below.

The 2015 MLS All-Star festivies continue on Wednesday night, when David Ousted and the MLS All-Stars take on Tottenham Hotspur at Dick's Sporting Goods Park (6 p.m. PT on TSN).
