KICKOFF: 7:30 p.m. PT | TV: TSN1 | RADIO: TSN 1040

Here are three storylines for the marquee Monday night matchup.

NEXT TAKE

Whitecaps FC are looking to bounce back after a heartbreaking loss to Toronto FC in the Amway Canadian Championship Final last Wednesday.

It will be hard to wash that off but the 'Caps won't have any other choice, having a tough test right in front of them.

California native Jordan Harvey, who played for UCLA from 2002 to 2005, said it best. "It’s going to hurt. We’ve got to pick our heads up and use this as motivation to push on the rest of the season.”

HOLLYWOOD ENDING

Carl Robinson's squad visits StubHub Center where LA Galaxy are undefeated this season with a 4W-0L-4D record.

The 'Caps will try to replicate last season’s feat when they ended LA’s 29-match undefeated home streak behind Kekuta Manneh’s goal in the 1-0 win on June 6, 2015.

Last week, Whitecaps FC handed then-Eastern Conference leaders Philadelphia Union their first home loss of the season, winning 3-2 at Talen Energy Stadium.

STARS TAKE CENTRE STAGE

The 'Caps have secured a point off LA earlier this season, earning a scoreless draw at BC Place despite losing Manneh and Pedro Morales to injury, and Matias Laba to a red card, all in the first half.

Fans can expect the headliners in action tonight, both from the 'Caps and the home side, who missed their Designated Players Robbie Keane (knee surgery), Steven Gerrard (calf) and Giovani dos Santos (leg) in the previous meeting in Vancouver due to injury.

Offseason additions Ashley Cole (red card) and Jelle Van Damme (yellow card accumulation) will miss the match for LA, and the 'Caps will look to capitalize.

Tune in to TSN1 tonight - you wouldn't want to miss what is expected to be another blockbuster.
