David Ousted - back turned, fist up, post-match, green kit, captains armband

VANCOUVER, BC – Whitecaps FC are on the hunt for three massive points to get back in the playoff picture when they host New York Red Bulls today at BC Place. (Limited tickets available.)

Streaks are on the line and something's got to give.

Here are the numbers that you need to know:

9 Red Bulls are undefeated in nine consecutive MLS matches for the first time since 2000. Their last loss was on July 3 (2-0 at New York City FC). They have scored multiple goals in all four road matches during the run, their longest multiple-goal streak on the road since 2007.

0 Whitecaps FC have zero losses in six matchups with Red Bulls in their head-to-head history. At home, the 'Caps are 1W-0L-2D, with the lone victory coming in New York's last visit to BC Place - a 4-1 result in the 2014 home-opener, which incidentally was Carl Robinson's head coaching debut.

16 New York striker Bradley Wright-Phillips' 16 goals gives him a tie for second place in the the Golden Boot race with Toronto FC's Sebastian Giovinco and New York City FC's David Villa. Wright-Phillips has scored or assisted in each of the last three matches, tallying four goals and one assist.

96 'Caps goalkeeper David Ousted has 96 saves, one behind Orlando's Joe Bendik for the league lead, and just three away from matching the club MLS single-season record he set last season. Last season, he denied Wright-Phillips twice on penalty kicks.

15+35 Red Bulls will miss the services of two senior international players in Jamaican Kemar Lawrence and American Sacha Kljestan, who leads MLS in assists (15) and chances created from set play (35).

6 Whitecaps FC are without six players due to international duty, the most they will miss since March 26, when they won shorthanded 1-0 over Houston Dynamo at BC Place.
