Huitema, Williams score as Canada qualify for 2018 FIFA U-17 World Cup

Canada booked their spot at the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup on Tuesday with a 2-1 win over Haiti in the third place match at the Concacaf Women's Championship.


Whitecaps FC players Jordyn Huitema and Andersen Williams scored the goals for Canada. The first goal was assisted by fellow 'Caps player Caitlin Shaw, and the second from Williams was assisted by Huitema.



In total, nine players were on Canada's roster from the 'Caps Girls Elite Super REX program in partnership with BC Soccer. The U-17 Women's World Cup will begin this November in Uruguay.
