Training - San Diego - Group

SAN DIEGO, CA – After a much earned day off on Wednesday, Vancouver Whitecaps FC continued the second leg of their preseason camp with a double session at the University of California, San Diego on Thursday.

Everyone at camp was back to full training, including striker Fredy Montero who did not participate in Vancouver’s preseason-opening draw with Columbus Crew SC due to a minor hamstring strain.

In addition to Montero, new wingers Cristian Dájome and David Milinković, as well as centre backs Érik Godoy and Jasser Khmiri, will all be looking to make their first appearances of the preseason on Saturday against FC Dallas (11 a.m. PT kickoff – follow Whitecaps FC on Twitter for live updates).

Newest member of the 'Caps, goalkeeper Bryan Meredith, is slated to join the team tonight in San Diego, while the club continues to work on midfielder Leonard Owusu's work permit and visa.

The ‘Caps also trimmed their preseason camp roster on Thursday, releasing midfielder Rodrigo da Costa and right back Cole Dasilva.
