Bair scores, Crépeau saves penalty in canMNT intrasquad match

The Canadian men's national team played their first intrasquad match of 2021 on Sunday in Bradenton, Florida and a pair of 'Caps featured front and centre.

Whitecaps FC Homegrown forward Theo Bair scored the lone goal of the match, finishing the rebound after 'Caps goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau stopped a penalty attempt from former Whitecaps FC midfielder Marco Bustos.

A total of five Whitecaps FC players are currently in camp for Canada with centre back Derek Cornelius, left back Cristián Gutiérrez, and striker Lucas Cavallini joining Bair and Crépeau.

The camp kicks off a busy and important 2021 campaign for the Canadian men's national team, including Olympic and World Cup qualifying beginning in March and the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup scheduled to begin in July.
