Sean Melvin named to USL Team of the Week after seven-save clean sheet

Seven times OKC Energy FC sent a ball towards the Whitecaps FC 2 net last Sunday, and seven times they were denied.

Goalkeeper Sean Melvin was named to the USL Team of the Week on Tuesday for his stellar performance, frustrating the Energy FC attack throughout the match in the scoreless road draw over the weekend.

In addition, the Victoria, BC native's 58th minute stop on a Coady Andrews header is up for USL Save of the Week. Click here to vote for Melvin, who made several saves at full stretch.

Whitecaps FC 2 are back home on Sunday when they host Orange County SC at UBC Thunderbird Stadium. Kickoff is at 4 p.m. PT. Click here to tickets
