PROFILE
Jordyn Huitema joined the Whitecaps FC Girls Elite REX Program in Partnership with BC Soccer in January 2015 after previously playing with Surrey United SC in the EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League. She was named the Most Promising Player and was awarded the Youth Soccer Player, BMO RESP in the 2017 WFC Player Awards.

INTERNATIONAL
2017: Became the first player in Canada Soccer history to score for the U-17s, U-20s, and senior national team all in one calendar year. With two goals against Costa Rica on June 11, she became the second youngest goalscorer in Canada women's national team history at 16-years-old. She was also the third youngest player ever to make debut for Canada's senior women's national team when she started the 2017 Algarve Cup final on March 8, 2017, while previously earning her initial call-ups to Canada's women's national team camps in January and February of 2017. 2016: Represented Canada at the 2016 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, starting all three matches and scoring in the first match against Cameroon. In 2016, she also played for Canada at the CONCACAF Girls U-15 Championship tournament, being named to the Best XI as Canada finished as runners-up. 2015: Huitema was called in to take part in a National EXCEL U-14/U-16 camp, as part of the camp, Canada will participate in the U-17 Women’s NTC Invitational tournament. 2014: Huitema represented Canada at the 2014 CONCACAF Girls' U-15 Championship in the Cayman Islands, where Canada won gold. During the final, Huitema, scored the fourth and deciding penalty shoot-out goal, to lift Canada 4-1 over Haiti after the match finished 1-1. In November, Huitema was called into the first U-13/U-15 camp for Canada Soccer Women’s National EXCEL Program, presented by Bell.

YOUTH
2014: A member of the U-14 Surrey United SC BCSPL team. Attended the 2014 Pacific Challenge Series in the U-15 age group, the series focuses on player identification and player development. The forward, was included in Phase 1 and 2 of the U-15 Provincial Development Program. 

PERSONAL
A native of Chilliwack, BC. Father is Roger Huitema. She has two brothers named Trent and Brody. Brody was a member of the Whitecaps FC Residency Program.

INTERESTING FACTS
Huitema's favourite player is Christine Sinclair, while her favourite team is Vancouver Whitecaps FC. The striker's favourite food is mashed potatoes and gravy.
