A promising goalkeeper from Orleans, Ontario who joined the Residency program in 2013 from Ottawa Fury FC.

2015-16: Aylward made 12 starts and appearances for Whitecaps FC Residency U-18 in the regular season. In the playoffs, he made five more starts, including the DA Final, helping the team to a runner-up finish in the tournament. 2014-15: Aylward started 17 of his 19 appearances with Whitecaps FC Residency U-16 as the team won the Northwest Division for the second straight season. 2013-14: Aylward made a goalkeeper team-high 21 starts, helping the 'Caps win the DA Northwest Division. 2012-13: Aylward appeared in two regular season games for Whitecaps FC U-16 Residency. He made a memorable appearance when he came on in the 70th minute to keep the 5-0 home shutout victory intact against Santa Cruz Breakers Academy on May 5, 2013.

2014: Aylward was called into camp with Canada's U-17 men's national team in July for the Mexican Cup of Nations tournament where they played games against Costa Rica, Korea Republic, and Brazil. 2013: Aylward was called up as part of a 30-player group assembled for a three-day prospects evaluation for the U-15 Canadian men’s national team. The camp was held from June 4 through June 6 in Montreal, Quebec. He was also named to Canada's Men's U-15 20-man roster for the 2013 Copa Mexico de Naciones which took place in Mexico City from August 10 to 18.
