Carlos Patino

An attacking midfielder with an impressive club and provincial team background, Carlos Patino joined Whitecaps FC Residency in Sept. 2011 after appearing for Ital-Canadian Soccer Club in his hometown of Edmonton, Alberta.

Patino's soccer career started at Edmonton Xtreme FC before the midfielder joined Edmonton Juventus Soccer Club. Despite his young age, Patino moved up to men's soccer when he joined Edmonton's Ital-Canadian Soccer Club. As a member of the Alberta provincial team, the midfielder represented his home province from the U-14 to U-16 levels.
Hailing from Edmonton, Alberta, the midfielder's parents are Olga Hincapie and Ruben Patino, while he has two sisters named Andrea and Lesly.

When not playing soccer, Patino enjoys eating his mother's cuisine and watching Spanish and European giants FC Barcelona play. He is an admirer of Argentine legend Diego Maradona, while he hopes to one day play a match in Real Madrid's famous Estadio Santiago Bernabéu.
