A talented defender who has experience playing at the BC Soccer Provincial Team level, Eric de Graaf joined Whitecaps FC after spending the past three years with Surrey United of the EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League (BCSPL).

2012-13: The Surrey, BC native started 15 of his 16 regular season appearances for Whitecaps FC U-16 Residency, with his most recent start coming in a 4-0 loss to Crossfire Premier on June 1, 2013.
Eric started with Surrey United FC's youth club from 2002 to 2008 before returning back to them from 2010 to 2012 in the BCSPL. Eric helped Surrey United win the BCSPL League title, League Cup and Premier Cup in 2012. Between these two spells, de Graaf spent 2008 to 2010 with Surrey Guildford United. The centre back also spent time with Whitecaps FC Prospects at the U-11 and U-12 levels. The Surrey, BC, native has also been called up to the BC Provincial Teams at both the U-13 and U-15 levels.
Born and raised in Surrey, de Graaf’s parents are Troy and Kathy de Graaf, with a sister named Samantha. Eric currently attends Burnaby Central Secondary School where he will graduate in 2015.
Eric enjoys being active and likes to play basketball when he’s not playing soccer. He also enjoys playing FIFA 13 on Xbox, and his favourite foods are chicken strips and pasta. Eric follows English Premier League side Manchester City and he would love to play at Barcelona's famed stadium of Camp Nou one day, although his favourite player is the Catalan club’s rivals Real Madrid’s former midfielder Wesley Sneijder.
