Trevor Schneider, a native of Coquitlam, BC, joined Whitecaps FC Residency from Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC.
2016-2017: Schneider appeared in 20 games for Whitecaps FC U-16 last season including 19 starts. In those 19 starts Schneider recorded seven clean sheets en-route to a very successful season for the club. In the playoffs he appeared in one match against Philadelphia Union U-16.
Schneider has participated in many national team camps stemming back to 2014. Most recently he was invited to the men's U-17 camp in the United States under coach Paul Stalteri.
Before joining the 'Caps, Schneider was a member of CMFSC since the age of five. When he turned nine, he began playing a year up, until he moved into the U-11 and U-12 Select squads, winning the league championship with the U-12s, before ending his tenure with them on the U-13 MSL team who finished in second place in the Provincial Cup A. Trevor has also earned many memorable honours in his young career, as he was a part of the U-11/U-12 Danone Nation Cup Western team, and a member of the U-12 BC Summer Games of Fraser Valley District squad.
Trevor names his parents, Nathan and Lisa, as his most loyal supporters because they have always pushed him to do the best he can and it drives him even harder to play better.
Schneider's favourite soccer team is German giants FC Bayern Munich, and he names their goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer, as his favourite player in the world. He one day dreams of playing at Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in the future. When he is not on the pitch, Schneider enjoys playing lacrosse, ping-pong, listening to music, and hanging out with his friends. One of his superstitions is to always jump up and touch the crossbar each time his team scores a goal. He names his favourite food as flank steak.
