Whitecaps FC Academy Centre teams keeping busy with indoor tournaments

It’s been a busy past couple of weekends for Whitecaps FC Academy Centre teams in British Columbia, with participation in two recent indoor soccer tournaments.

Two weeks ago the Kamloops Academy Centre hosted an indoor tournament, playing alongside the Northern Academy Centre and Okanagan Academy Centre. More than 100 players took part in the U-9/10, U-11/12, and U-13/14 age groups.

“We had a fantastic tournament,” said Kamloops head coach John Antulov. “There was some excellent soccer played.”

In addition to hosting, the Kamloops Academy Centre also sent a U-13/14 boys group to an indoor tournament in Salmon Arm this past weekend, joining a U-15 group from Kelowna and Penticton.

“I was very happy with how our boys played,” added Antulov. “We showed some great possession and attacking football. It was pretty to watch.”
