U-13 CONCACAF Champions League

Whitecaps FC to participate in U-13 CONCACAF Champions League

Tonight, Vancouver Whitecaps FC will find out their opponents for the upcoming 2016-17 CONCACAF Champions League starting in August.

But one month prior to the first team's quest for regional supremacy, Whitecaps FC will be sending a much younger group to the CONCACAF Under-13 Champions League. The youth tournament will be held in Mexico City from July 23-30.

“We’re very excited to welcome in a new group of young players to the Residency program for the next cycle,” said Whitecaps FC Residency technical director Craig Dalrymple. “This will be a fantastic way to kick things off with a tournament against some of the best teams their age level in the CONCACAF region.”

The annual tournament features some of the top U-13 programs from across North America, Central America and the Caribbean.

Whitecaps FC have been drawn into Group B alongside Menor Tijuana (Mexico), Comunicaciones FC (Guatemala), and
Liga Deportiva Alajuelense (Costa Rica).
